Shawn McLoughlin

CEO, President of the Americas

Shawn started his career at Government Securities brokerage, RMJ Securities in 1982. He joined Cantor Fitzgerald in New York in 1986 becoming comanager of the Intermediate Government Securities Department. He left to join Liberty Brokerage in 1991. After a four year term running sales and trading at SMR Energy Income funds, he returned to Liberty Brokerage to work in the fixed income arena in 1999 shortly before its merger with Tullett & Tokyo. In 2002 he was mandated to start a North American equities division for the firm and was instrumental in the acquisition and subsequent restructuring of the equity broking business of Burlington Capital Markets which forms the core of the business which was transferred to Collins Stewart prior to the demerger. Shawn also played an integral role in Collins Stewarts acquisition of the investment bank, C.E. Unterberg Towbin, in July of 2007, further enhancing the company’s North American equities division. Shawn holds a B.S. from Brockport State University.

Jim Fay

Managing Director, Institutional Sales & Trading

Jim joined Collins Stewart in March 2004 after 20years at Merrill Lynch. He left Merrill Lynch as a Managing Director and Co-head of US Equity Trading. Jim has worked closely with our CEO over the last 4 years to bring our Equity Broking Business to its current levels. Jim holds a B.A. in Political Science from Fairfield University.
